Spent a wonderful day experiencing the beauty and wine of the Douro Valley. It truly is a special place, and this for was a highlight of our trip. Joao was an excellent tour guide: very knowledgeable and funny! He had our whole group laughing and connecting in no time at all. I loved the gorgeous river cruise, but the highlight was definitely having lunch and tasting wine at a local family owned winery. Delicious and unforgettable!

If you’re thinking about doing this tour, stop thinking and just do it. Every minute was wonderful and the day flew by. Our guide was amazing and ended up being just another friend in our group. The two wineries and boat tour made all of our jaws drop, it was the closest experience to being in heaven. So yes, I highly recommend. And the meal that’s included was the best meal we’ve had in all 10 days of being in Portugal!
