Show map• What is the difference between a normal tour and a PREMIUM tour?
On our Premium tour, we pick up guests directly from their accommodation. At the end of the day, they are also dropped off at the same location where they were picked up.
• How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts approximately 8 to 9 hours, departing from Porto and returning at the end of the day.
• Can we bring children?
Yes, children can join the tour; however, you must inform us in advance so we can provide a child seat. On this tour, children are entitled to a 20% discount up to 2 years old or a 10% discount from 3 to 12 years old. Child seats are mandatory for children up to 6 years old, and booster seats are required for children between 6 and 12 years old. We can provide these upon prior request.
• I have specific allergies. What should I do?
In case of allergies, you should always inform us either when booking the experience or at check-in.
• How long is the van ride?
The trip from Porto to the Douro Valley takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The return trip from the Douro to Porto takes approximately the same amount of time.
• What is served at the wineries?
Each winery serves different products, but generally, you will taste at least three different wines from the estate, along with other local and regional appetizers.
• Does the experience take place if it rains?
Yes, this experience is protected from the rain, and nothing changes if it’s raining.
• How does the boat ride work?
If you choose the tour option that includes a boat ride, it takes place on the Douro River, in the village of Pinhão. The boat ride lasts 1 hour and ends at the same location where it began.
• Can we bring animals?
If you wish to bring an animal, the situation must be handled carefully. You should contact us in advance to inform us, so we can evaluate whether it’s possible, due to potential allergies from other passengers in the van. We do NOT provide animal carriers. If we are not informed beforehand, the animal cannot join the tour.
• Do you have wheelchair access?
No, our transportation does not have wheelchair access.
• Where is lunch served?
Lunch will be served at the winery you are visiting. If you choose the option with two wineries, lunch will take place at the second winery.
• What is served for lunch?
For lunch, you can choose between a meat, fish, or vegetarian dish. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, and any other dietary restrictions will be accommodated if communicated in advance.

03/12/2025Our tour guide Rủi was amazing! He did a great job of making everyone feel safe and included. Both small wineries we went to were splendid with plenty of tastings of red, white, and port. In addition, we had plenty of bread and oil and snacks to munch on. I learned so much on this tour and 100% recommend it to anyone. Hotel pickup also made the whole journey such an easy way to see Douro Valley.

03/12/2025Best day out from Porto! João was engaging, caring and knowledgable (about wine and the region) and looked after the whole day. Good pace, always interesting but not rushed. The wineries were boutique and the lunch served delicious, local dishes and great house wine.

03/12/2025Amazing trip to the Douro Valley; our guide was patient, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We forgot our backpack at the restaurant we ate at before the tour started, and he was kind enough to swing by and retrieve it before the tour started. The Douro Valley is strikingly beautiful, and we learned so much about local winemaking and history while tasting lovely wines at rustic estates. This tour is an absolute must if you’re passing through Porto.

We appreciated the small tour size, the truly small family wineries we visited, and how knowledgeable and passionate our guide was about winemaking in the region. The food and wine were excellent. The boat trip was beautiful, even in the rain. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Porto.

Our journey through the Douro Valley with Daily Tours was an experience that touched our hearts in ways we never expected. Our guide, Pedro's kindness (left his family last minute to accommodate our “last minute” group), and genuine love for this region created memories that will stay with us forever. 03/12/2025Such a great tour! Loved the small group. Van was new and comfortable. Luis was our guide for our tour and he ensured we had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend this tour for a wide variety of wines and our lunch was delicious. It really was a lovely day trip.

03/12/2025Great day despite the rain. Our guide was friendly, thoughtful, and well spoken. He had good relationships with the owners of both vineyards we visited which I think facilitated a good trip. Wine tasting and olive oil tasting was superb! I definitely learned a few things! Lunch was a traditional meal which they accommodated to vegetarian which was really amazing! They provided a traditional vegetarian meal not just a substitute! Thanks!!

03/12/2025The tour was exactly what we were hoping for! Gusto was charming and fun and the host/owner of each Quinta was lovely, warm and welcoming! Even with the rain, we had a great time and many laughs with our group. The activities and the timing of how each one was laid out was perfect. 03/12/2025Rui was a great driver/ tour guide for our day. Not only did he engage with the whole party, and supervise our activities, but he also knew lots and had a great sense of humour. The lunch was great, I particularly liked speaking with the second vineyard’s owner as he discussed the challenges of climate change on Douro Valley (no irrigation) grape cultivation. We had blue skies and it was a perfect day to explore the Douro. Great escape from the city if you are staying for more than 3 days..

03/12/2025A great excursion into beautiful Douro with a tour of a few cozy, independent wineries that offered multiple tastings of delicious wine. We also enjoyed a wonderful feast of a lunch home cooked in one of the wineries. Highly recommend!
