Explore Porto’s historic centre on a guided walking tour and discover some of the stories, streets and landmarks that give the city its unique character.
We will begin in the area around Porto Cathedral, walking through the narrow and historic streets of the city centre, past old buildings, small squares and some of Porto’s most characteristic corners.
We will continue towards the iconic São Bento Station, known for its magnificent azulejo tile panels, before making our way through some of the liveliest areas of central Porto.
Along the route, we will pass by Clérigos Tower, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, and the famous Livraria Lello, known for its remarkable architecture and distinctive interior.
During the walk, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy different views over Porto, the Douro River and Vila Nova de Gaia, while your guide shares stories and interesting facts about the city.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the meeting point, where we will finish the experience with a toast and a glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere.

How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, starting from our shop and ending at the same location.
Can we bring children?
Yes, children are welcome on the walking tour.
How difficult is the walk?
If you are used to walking, you will probably find this route moderate and pleasant.
⚠️ If you are not used to walking, are elderly, sedentary, or have heart, respiratory, or mobility issues, this walk may be quite demanding and tiring due to the steep streets of Porto.
I have specific allergies — what should I do?
In case of allergies, you should always inform us either when booking the experience or at check-in.
Does the experience take place if it rains?
No, in case of rain, this experience cannot take place. In this situation, we will offer an alternative or a full refund.
Can we bring animals?
Yes, you may bring your pet.
Do I need sun protection?
Yes, you should bring sunscreen, as temperatures in Portugal can be quite high during the summer.

01/09/2024The tour was wonderful, not only informative but humorous storytelling. Walking through Porto was an amazing experience and the tour guide was fantastic, he didn’t rush us, nor was he slow in the tour or showing us the sights. It was the perfect balance. And a great touch with their own map of sights/recommendations provided at the end.

01/08/2024The walking tour was excellent. Pedro was our guide and he did an amazing job. He knew his history, kept the energy level high, made sure all the tour members could hear and were not left behind. He had great stories and anecdotes. The walking tour includes a lot of hills, and he insured the pace was safe for everyone. His English was excellent, and was able to easily converse and answer questions and provide additional information.

21/05/2024This is the way a person should start a tour of Porto to get a feel of what they would want to see on their own at a later time on their trip. Jose gave us ideas by staying where things were located and the best time to go. He also gave us personal recommendations for restaurants. Price was good. Jose made sure he answered people’s questions on the tour.

01/07/2024Gregorio gave us an amazing tour of Porto! He knows the city well and since we were the only ones signed up for the day, we got a little private tour. He was so good that my 73 year old father wanted to continue and do the whole tour even though we had mentioned maybe only wanting to participate for half the time. He was very knowledgeable and I am glad I did this early on in our trip so that we have a better idea of what we want to see and do. Thank you, Gregorio!

01/07/2024Our historical tour around Porto was excellent. Our guide was very friendly, personable and extremely knowledgeable about Portuguese history. He was able to explain topics very well considering most of us tourists are new to the subject. Recommend to anyone who wants to dig a little deeper during their vacation and take home some knowledge.

01/05/2024Amazing tour of the historic district of Porto. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny. A great way to spend the morning and well worth the money. The walking was uphill for a good portion however we had ample breaks and did not feel rushed. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of this beautiful city.
