I absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a truly unique experience. We did the Douro tour with Pedro, who was more than amazing. He felt like a member of the family who was giving is a tour of the town where they live. Thank you Pedro, we look forward to coming back and seeing you again!!

The visit to small vineyards made this wine tour special! Initially the long duration of the trip surprised me, but we would actually have loved more time at the wineries. The lunch and boat tour were nice— but the two amazing wineries, their hosts, and the scenery were stellar.

My friends and I really enjoyed this tour! Some of them are not really wine drinkers so they were a little apprehensive before they went but they learned so much and even enjoyed tasting the wine. The scenery is so beautiful, it's difficult not to enjoy where you are. It was definitely much hotter in the Douro Valley than in Porto but our guides brought water for us. Our guides were so lovely and so knowledgeable. We had a fabulous day!

Pedro was an excellent guide. From the moment he picked us up he was engaging and friendly. His knowledge of Porto, the Douro Valley, and the wineries was extensive and enlightening. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our tour. We particularly appreciated going to the smaller lesser known wineries as a small group.

What a truly amazing and unique experience. This was everything and more that I hoped the tour would be - our schedule included stops at two wineries where we sampled a variety of different local wines, as well as honey and olive oil. The boat ride in between was a nice break to interact with other travelers. The wineries we visited - Quinta Dos Castelares and Quinta D’Azinheira - were smaller in scale than some others in the Douro Valley, which made the interactions more intimate and memorable. A savory and hearty homemade lunch was provided by Dora at Quinta D’Azinheira. But finally, what truly made the experience so fantastic was our wonderful guide - Gusto/Pedro/Chameleon. He was sociable, knowledgeable, friendly, and constantly catered to the group ensuring we all had the best experience. Can’t say enough great things about him, or our tour in general and would highly recommend this trip!

From the comfortable vehicle to the narration during the trip this will be an unforgettable experience. The wineries were small and exceptional, the boat trip and lunch a delight. Highly recommend!

We did a private group for 7 of us and we had the most amazing time!! We were so glad to have Pedro as our driver. He was very fun, knowledgeable and helpful. Had a great day long tour of the Douro Valley today! Small group of 6! Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable! Visited 2 small wineries where we tasted several different wines and olive oil! Small wineries and small group makes for a very memorable experience! Also had a typical Portuguese meal which they adapted to vegetarian with ease! Highly recommend this tour

Douro Valley is an iconic spot. Don’t skip it. This tour is a great way to check it out. The wine makers we met worked on very small batches in very old buildings adding to the charm of the experience.

It was an absolutely lovely tour; interesting information and conversations, beautiful scenery, wonderfully friendly and personable guide, safe driving to and from each location, amazing food and wine. Definitely a unique experience and so much fun!

We did this trip while in Porto and it was our favorite experience. The drive and wineries provided access to countryside we would not have ventured, but gave us a wonderful insight and knowledge into Port wine and the Douro Valley. João was our guide and hosted a fabulous adventure. Don’t pass this up if in Porto!

Amazing trip which highlighted so much the Douro valley has to offer. The winery visits with the owners were personal and very enjoyable. Lunch and the boat tour down the Douro were a satisfying change of pace. Finally, Andre was an excellent host who provided a wealth of knowledge and great humor which made the entire experience that much better. Recommend to anyone considering a day trip to the Douro valley.
